Code of Conduct
All attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers and organisers agree to follow this Code of Conduct. Organisers and their agents will enforce this code throughout the conference, and its associated activities. This is to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time whilst involved with Data Relay.
Short Version
Data Relay strives to be an event where anyone can come, learn new skills and network alongside their peers regardless of gender, sexuality, race, disability, gender identity, appearance or religion. Language and imagery that focus on these aspects will not be tolerated from sponsors, speakers or attendees. If you feel at any time that this code of conduct is not being followed then please alert a member of the Data Relay team (identified by their shirts) immediately.

Harassment of any participants at a Data Relay event will not be tolerated. Harassment includes, but is not limited to, offensive language, sexual imagery, inappropriate physical contact, unwanted sexual advances, intimidation, malicious disruption of talks, or unwanted photography.
Sponsors and their agents are also subject to this code of conduct. No materials shall contain sexual imagery, and should not be disparaging of any groups or identities.
If anyone engages in harassing behaviour then the Data Relay organisers will take action as deemed appropriate. This includes verbally warning the offender, requesting they leave the venue, and removing them from any further events. Should the offender be a sponsor or a speaker then they may be removed from the Data Relay tour immediately, in this case Data Relay will not be responsible for any costs incurred. In the case of a Sponsor being unable to continue with the series, Data Relay will not provide a refund.
If you feel you are being harassed or you witness someone else being harassed then please alert a member of the Data Relay team immediately. They will be identifiable by their polo shirts, and they registration desk will be staffed throughout. If needed Data Relay staff will help to contact venue security or the Police, and provide any other support as needed.
